The Family

Hi Tripawd community!

My name is Brandie. I am a human. I have a sister named Scarlett. She is a dog. Scarlett is the youngest of 9 in the Benoit family.

Scalett's family at the lake, sans Mom and Dad.

Scarlett’s human mom, Roxanne, is the best. She is also allergic to technology.

Dave is Scarlett’s human dad. He is still a bit resentful that Scarlett is a momma’s girl.

Brandie (that’s ME!) is Scarlett’s only sister. She is awesome, just like Scarlett. 🙂

Scarlett has four human brothers: Daniel just left the roost and has a puppy of his own, David is a high school junior who is obsessed with monkeys, Luke is Scarlett’s roommate and has a twin brother Jake, who is a basketball stud.

Last, but certainly not least, is Spike. He is Scarlett’s older canine brother. These two have a love/hate relationship. Scarlett love him (and everything with a pulse). Spike is a crotchety old man who occasionally shows affection. But we love him!

  1. I love my dog Scarlett she is awesome. She probably has her hair in my school locker gym locker my friends lockers. She sheds that much. I think her favorite band is 3 leg blind. Her favorite song in hopper. Her fovorite show is dogs gone wild. Her favorite color is gold. Her favorite movie is stop hop and roll. Her favorite brother is Jake (me) . Her favorite flinstone is Dino. Her favorite leg is her left. Hahahahahahahahaha.

  2. Hi I’m Scarlett’s btother Luke. To day Scarlett was put down. She was suffering from cancer and was in pain. The whole family was upset. It was really hard to handle her death to day. She was the best dog in the world and meant every thing to me. I decided to write this because I had a nightmare about her death and I can not go back to sleep.

    1. So sorry to hear about Scarlett. We bet the happy dreams will come as soon as you realize you are not to blame and Scarlett is in a much better place now. May her spirit live on forever by your side while she runs free of pain and rests in peace at the Rainbow Bridge.

You’ll find much more support in the Coping With Loss discussion forum.

      Best wishes.
